
Betsy is survived by her son, Logan Queen; grandson, Elijah Queen; two sisters, Patti (Ron) Snyder of Wheeling and Donna (Jim) Breitinger of Westerville, Ohio; nephews, Jason (Amy) and Roger (Rachel) Snyder, Jimmy (Olivia) Breitinger; niece, Kara (Jim) Solano; three great nieces and four great nephews.
Betsy was a 1975 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a December 1979 graduate of West Liberty College with a degree in English and Oral Communication.
Betsy was an educator her whole life. She taught at Wheeling Central Catholic High School for 17 years and received many awards for her involvement with the Yearbook Department. She also worked as a Volunteer Services Coordinator at Mt. Caramel Hospice for 18 years where she received a Hospice Caregiver Award in 2019 from Schoedinger Funeral Home nominated by a volunteer. She was an Operation Training Specialist with FedEx since September 2021. She received the Purple Promise Award in December 2022 for going above and beyond for the new hirers.
Betsy has several artistic talents and hobbies. She loved to paint on many different creative outlets such as wood, metal, and many other materials. She even face painted for an entertainment company in Columbus, Ohio. Many people loved receiving these special gifts!
Friends and family will be received Thursday April 13th from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Schoedinger Funeral Home at 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio, 43230 with a service to follow right after.
