I struggle to put into words just how very special Betsy was to me. Volunteering for hospice was one of the greatest decisions of my life - and meeting Betsy is a huge part of that. I fell in love with her instantly. Her warmth, her smile, her spirit, her sense of humor, her beauty and her kind and caring heart made her one of a kind. She was my biggest cheerleader and had a way of always making me feel like a rockstar. 
She loved and advocated fiercely for those of us fortunate enough to call her friend. 

Fly high, beautiful Betsy. You are loved and will be missed tremendously. 

As she always ended all of our conversations; “talk soon”.

My sweet friend, I will miss you more than words. 

When I first started at Mount Carmel Hospice in March of 2010, you were the first person to welcome me to the team. We quickly became friends, as we had a similar love for life, volunteers, dogs, crafting, wine, and hospice. 

You cheered me on every step of the way. You were there the day after I got engaged, there the same I got married, and was beyond excited I was going to have a little boy.  You told me how close you were with Logan, and were excited to see my experience with Danny. 

You were the most amazing person. You even made my wedding present with your Zentangle gift and my St. Patrick’s Day theme.

It doesn’t seem real that you are gone. I look forward to the day when you greet me at St. Peter’s gates.  

Prayers for your sweet Logan, his son, and your family. I remember how excited you were to be a grandma! You came over and “bought” all my baby stuff!

We had such a good time when you were a member of Hoot always laughing and seeing your sweet smile. You came to several classes at Fran’s  house and my house to paint with us girls and we giggled the whole day.

Sincere condolences to all of the family regarding this tragic loss. 

I met Betsy at our painting group several years ago. After she resigned, she contacted me about painting with oils. She was a quick learner and we had many laughs together in class. We also had an adventure to Amish country where she bought her beloved Sienna, her doodle baby. I'll always remember Betsy's laugh and positive outlook. My condolences to Logan, Donna, Patty and the rest of Betsy's family.

I was heartbroken hearing of my cousin Betsy's passing and called my challenged son Joe to pray with me.  Bets and I hung out a lot and laughed always. Last night out of nowhere Joe turns to me and says Betsy's in Heaven. My son has a gift and Betsy is STILL making us laugh. 💙 

Always making us smile and bringing joy to many with her creativity and talent,. Betsy was a bright light to many.   Her contributions to Hospice and Educating and supporting others were  vast and appreciated.  Carry on, and keep 'em smiling in Heaven.  You'll be missed 😇❤️

If we are lucky, we will have one teacher in our lives who will really see us as someone special and who will nuture us to become the best person we can be. Mrs. Queen was that person for me. 

I had her for English as well as Journalism and I was the editor of the yearbook at Wheeling Central. She was my advisor, my confidant, my motivator and my cheerleader. We shared many laughs and some tears too. 

I was lucky to know her and to be seen by her.  May Peace be with her family and loved ones, especially her son, Logan, who was her absolute joy from the minute he was born.

I was Betsy's clinical manager at Mount Carmel Hospice. After I retired, we became good friends. 
As a manager, I enjoyed and respected Betsy's creative and intelligent approach as manager of the volunteer component. She had a national reputation. As a friend, she was kind, comical and loyal. I will miss her infectious laugh and our deep conversations. Fly high sweet soul. Love, Myra "My"

We are so very sorry to hear of Betsy's passing. She was a caring teacher who touched the lives of many young people, inspiring another generation to follow her path and become teachers. We remember her fondly for her passion for connecting with others, her infectious sense of humor, and the deep love that was so evident when she talked about her family. Betsy made an impact on the world with her compassion and simple kindness. She will be deeply missed.

I am saddened to hear this and I am  sending my condolences, and prayers to Mrs. Queen’s family and friends.  I was one her students that worked on the yearbook staff and was inspired by her creativity- Thy kingdom come - rest well - Fondly, Cynthia Hall (Berry) CCHS ‘87

Mrs Queen was one of my favorite teachers at Wheeling Central!!! She was amazing and so talented. It was an honor to be one of her many yearbook and Speech students.  I pray for peace and comfort in knowing how truly loved she was. 

We are so sorry for your loss.  Betsy will be greatly missed!
