Beverly J. Serrott (Mann)

Born July 17th, 1931 in Schenectady, NY to Hazel (Lalicker) and Vernon Mann. Beverly graduated from Asbury College with a Bachelor’s in Education. A lifelong teacher who influenced thousands of lives across many states and was instrumental in starting Shepherd Christian School, where she completed her teaching career at the age of 83.

Beverly married her late husband Rev. Clyde A. Serrott on June 12th, 1955. Together, they had four children and worked as missionaries on the Texas-Mexico border and in Dominica, West Indies. Bev continued living her life as a faithful servant of the Lord until her last breath.

Preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, and their son, Stanley Serrott. She leaves behind her children: Steve Serrott, Sherryl (Timothy) Orihood, and Stuart (Catica) Serrott, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends whom she cherished.

She enjoyed crocheting, completing puzzles, reading, and spending time with family, frequently traveling with friends, going on lunch dates, and participating in bible studies.

Beverly was a proud member of Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Gahanna, Ohio where she was involved in Prayer and Praise, Golden Girls, and the Prayer Room as well as many other ministries through the years.

There will be calling hours on Tuesday September 24th, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast. 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 25th, 2024 at 11 a.m. (with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.) at Shepherd Church of the Nazarene 425 S. Hamilton Road, Gahanna, OH 43230.
