

Dan was born December 4, 1938 to Philip and Katherine Mason Meseroll in Gahanna, Ohio. He graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1956.
On September 17, 1960, he married his wife of 62 years, Phyllis Stanko, and went on to have five children: Paul, Terri, Kathy, Tammie, and Dan.
Daniel, known as Pops, loved his family, golfing, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He spent most of his career working at Archway cookies, climbing from cookie distributor to district manager and then regional sales manager. He was a fourth-degree Knight of the Marietta Ohio council of the Knights of Columbus. Some of his fondest memories include his two holes-in-one, watching his grandson Sam play soccer, listening to his granddaughter Lillian sing in The Ohio State University Women’s Glee Club, and meeting his newest great-grandsons Grayson and Casper.
Daniel is predeceased by his wife, Phyllis; son, Paul Samuel; parents Philip and Katherine Mason Meseroll; and siblings Elaine Kelly, Lester, Hannah, and John. He is survived by his children Terri (Rob), Kathy (Bill), Tammie, and Dan (Beth); grandchildren, Lauren (Scott), Jason, Mason (Kelsey), Kayla, Kristie, Emily (Tyler), Samuel Jack, Lillian; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Philip (Karen); sisters Maggie and Tina; brother-in-law Jack; sister-in-law Jessie; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, from 10:00am – 10:30am at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230, with a memorial service immediately following at 10:30am.
A private inurnment will be held at North Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Basilica of St. Mary’s Marietta OH or the Alzheimer’s Association.
