

Delores O. Wanner, 87, passed away June 8, 2022 at Rittenhouse Village in Gahanna. Born November 29, 1934 to Agatha (Crosby) and James Starcher in Waterford, Ohio. A fifty year member of St. James the Less Catholic Church, in recent years a member of Church of the Resurrection in New Albany. Delores loved gardening and was an avid euchre player. She could easily spend several hours a day, iPad in hand, working sudoku puzzles. In earlier years she was a Brownie leader, room mother, elementary school and CCD volunteer. She will always be remembered for being a loyal friend and going out of her way to be of service to anyone in need.
In addition to her parents Delores was preceded in death by her husband Donald Wanner, daughter Catherine Wanner, brothers Vernon, Doy and George Starcher, and sisters Luella Reese, Loretta Doll, and Wanda Starcher. She was also preceded in death by several cherished nephews and nieces including, recently, Charlene Reese. She is survived by her beloved son; brothers Larry (Sandy) Starcher, Stanley (Pauline) Starcher and sister Sue Maltby. Delores is survived by numerous family members and friends including Theresa Wade and Marion Knisley.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Monday, June 13, at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054, with interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio. Those who wish may contribute to Mt. Carmel Hospice in Delores’ memory.
