

Diane Kaiser, age 86 formerly of Columbus peacefully passed away on September 16, 2024. She was born August 18, 1938. A daughter to the late Ralph and Graedon (Whipple) Hunt. In addition to her parents, Diane is preceded in passing be her husband, Milton; sons, Donald and Jonathan.
Known to many as “The Butterfly Lady” and “Little Miss Social Butterfly”, her love for butterflies was a lifelong passion. A true social butterfly herself, she brightened every room with her vibrant personality and kindness. Willingness to help anyone in any situation kept her busy. She became like a mother to many. She worked many years at The Ohio State University mostly in administrative roles. Living her faith and love for Christ kept her active in several congregations throughout her life participating in bell choirs and social community needs. Anything she touched she created beauty and won awards for her creations every year at the Ohio State Fair. Her talents also included painting in watercolors and acrylics in her later years. People sought after her talents and enjoyed her cooking skills.
Diane is survived by her loving children, daughter Christina Beale and husband Michael of Wake Forest North Carolina, with grandchildren Elaine Beale, Sarah/Phil Mains, Dan/Kate Beale, and great grandchild Alice Beale. Son Andrew Kaiser and wife Susan with granddaughter Carolena of Columbus Ohio. Grandson from Jonathan, Corey/Alexis Kaiser with great grandchildren Declan, Averie and Jaxton of Franklin Kentucky and granddaughter Haley Kaiser also of Franklin Kentucky.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. A visitation will be held Saturday, October 12th, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum from 12PM-2PM. Interment will directly follow at the graveside.
