Francis Eileen O’Donnell Hanley (Eileen) passed away February 4, 2025 in Columbus Ohio where she resided for the past 27 years. Eileen was born on November 11, 1931 in Mansfield, Ohio. She is predeceased by her parents Gwendolyn Hammer O’Donnell, and Jeremiah Francis O’Donnell.
She attended St. Peter’s Catholic schools in Mansfield, Ohio, and graduated high school at The Academy of the Holy Cross, Washington DC, in 1950. After high school Eileen worked as a secretary with Westinghouse Electric in Mansfield, OH, and later in San Francisco, CA. Most of her career was with GE in California as an executive secretary.
Eileen is survived by her daughter Sabrina Marie Hanley of San Jose, CA, her sisters Jeri A. O’Donnell of Columbus, OH, and M. Teresa O’Donnell of Delaware, OH. Eileen’s family is deeply grateful to the staff of StoryPoint Senior Living, Gahanna, OH, and the hospice nurses with Hospice of Central Ohio particularly her primary nurse Ms. Delia McCubbin.
