Elizabeth "Bette" F. Prushing

Hallelujah! Elizabeth “Bette” Floretta Wolfe Prushing, Age 98. I was born at 28 North High Street in our parsonage for Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna, OH, on April 22, 1926. After a long and wonderful life, I departed for heaven with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday January 9, 2025. I passed peacefully surrounded by my family and wrapped in their loving care in our home.

I am survived by my three sons, Bruce (Gail), Brian (Scott), Brad, and doggie Betsy. I have one granddaughter, Brandy (Jason) Archey, and three great grandchildren, Adelynd, Caleb, and Elizabeth. I also want to lovingly mention my many cherished nieces and nephews. I am joining in the Lord’s care, my husband, Byron “Barney” Prushing and parents, Reverend William and Elizabeth Wolfe. I am also reuniting with all seven of my siblings: three sisters, Catherine Krumm, Amy Smith, and Patricia Dickendesher, and four brothers, Richard Wolfe, Theodore Wolfe, William Wolfe, and John Wolfe.

I lived a wonderful and full life with many adventures and stories. Before getting married, I worked at a bakery, and then at a fashion boutique with my sister, Patty. Getting into mischief and pulling silly pranks was one of my favorite pastimes, but you must come to my memorial to hear more about those! After marrying my handsome serviceman, I created a warm and loving home and raised my three boys, all of whom inherited my talents of getting into mischief! My life was full of laughter, love, and warm memories!

I have been a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church, and will have my memorial and services there. In lieu of flowers, my family and I request donations be made to Peace Lutheran Church. Come join us at the church for a celebration of my life on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 11:00 am sharp!!
