Eric Edward Stone

Eric Edward Stone (nicknamed “Red”) was born fourth of five offspring of George Andress Stone Jr. and Sara T. Stone (Trapp). Eric grew up in Westerville, Ohio and enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles, hanging at the family-owned motorcycle shop. Eric inherited the Stone sense of humor. He also was an honorary member of the RIDGE RATS.

As a younger man, Eric enjoyed live music with family and friends. While living in Zanesville, he bred golden retrievers and loved his dogs. His move back to Columbus was to be closer to family.

Eric endured MS (Multiple Sclerosis) for several decades and passed peacefully of natural causes.

There were endless tales of what could have been, if only…

Eric was preceded in death by his father George Andress Stone Jr; brother George Andress Stone III; sister Natalia S. Johnson; mother Sara T. Stone; and niece Nancy Stone.

Eric is survived by brother F. Theodore “Ted” Stone (Kathleen); sister, Sara I. Stone (Matt); and several nieces and nephews.

Eric will be missed by many friends and family members, including beloved long time pet cat, Floppy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Eric's funeral service will follow visitation, beginning at 12:00 pm.

Services will conclude with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne, Ohio.
