Jerry spent his career working with TransWorld Airlines (TWA) as a Ticket Agent, retiring in 2000. He was a long-time member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, joining the parish in 1972.
His friends and family knew him as “Mr. Fix-It” for his ability to build or fix anything – he built decks for all family members (and their neighbors), remodeled kitchens, and could repair pretty much anything.
Jerry will be fondly remembered for his warm grin, his hugs, and a dry sense of humor. They will miss his knowledge of repairs and remodeling and his cooking skills, especially his famous Frogmore Stew and BBQ.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Elsie; and his siblings Stanley Fallert, Franklin Fallert (who was Killed in Action), Armella Bahr, and Lynette Bauman.
Left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his beloved wife of 71 years, Shirley Fallert; their children, Kent (Karen) Fallert, Mark (Marianne) Fallert, and Beth (Bryan) Smith; grandchildren Loren Fallert, Taylor Fallert, and Kaity Smith; and his loving and watchful “grand-kitty” Mia, who rarely left his side at the end of his life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, OH 43230 on Tuesday, April 14, beginning at 10:30am.
Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Pataskala.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerry’s memory may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer research.

Family would like to extend a special thank-you to Jerry’s hospice nurses and caretakers at Ohio Health/Compassus Hospice, especially his primary nurse Codie Bowen. She was such a blessing to our beloved father and our entire family. We could not have done any of this without her.
