Harold devoted his life to faith, family, and service. He earned multiple degrees — including a Doctorate in Theology — and went on to pastor congregations in both Ohio and South Carolina. He was honored to be named a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of First Baptist Church of Westerville. In his later years, Harold retired from Children’s.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte (Carter) Young; children, Steve (Kim) Young, Lori Young, Tim (Heather) Young, Zakk (Lauren) Young, and Ashley (Bryce) Krueger; sister, Regenia (Gene) Castle; Sharon Jebavy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gladys Young; brother, Rod Young; and grandson, Stephen Young.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, followed by a procession to Mifflin Cemetery for a 1:30 p.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harold's honor to the First Baptist Church of Westerville.
