

James “Jed” Pallone, age 77 of New Albany, joined God in heaven on Saturday, April 1, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on February 9, 1946 to the late Dominic and Dina (Ciardelli) Pallone in Columbus, Ohio.
Jed was an incredibly generous soul who loved life and his family above all. He was a self-made and successful entertainment entrepreneur in the Columbus area for almost 60 years. He loved his faith and was a dedicated parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School class of 1964. Jed loved cooking, dining and vacationing with family, OSU football, classic car shows, and playing cards with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank and sister, Delores. Jed leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years Mary (Roehrenbeck) Pallone, children; Br. Roman (ex-wife Denise) Pallone O.S.B., Gina (Mike) Whalen, Vince (Heidi) Pallone, Noah (Mindi) Pallone, Marie Pallone, Teresa (Grant) Bowman and Nick (Holly) Pallone, brother and best friend Dave (Sydney) Pallone, grandchildren; Gabriella, Anna, Becca, Alex, Emma, Grace, Ben, Mary Kate, Lindsey, Aedan, Gia, Julia, Joey Jed, Ethan, Griffin, Camille, Addy, Matt (Rachel), Antonio and Logan; along with other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held 3-7 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054. Private interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
