

Jean had a special love for orchids, growing and collecting them over the years. In addition to her green thumb, she was an accomplished sewer who crafted much of her own wardrobe, as well as clothing for her children.
Jean and her late husband Gerry enjoyed traveling to 49 states and visiting nearly all the National Parks. A lover of classical music, Jean was a devoted attendee of the symphony for many years.
For over four decades, she was a faithful member of Broad Street Presbyterian Church community, where she also volunteered with the Compass Program and craft group.
Jean is survived by her loving children, Linda (Michael) Clipson, Kathleen Hamblen, James (Grace) Gregg, and Megan (Glenn) Thomas, grandchildren, David and Steven Clipson, Benjamin (Lauryn) and Robert Gregg, Caitlin and Kristopher Hamblen, and Lindsay Thomas, great-grandchild, Leo Gregg, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Gerry Gregg and sister, Dorothy Tillman.
A memorial service will be held 4:30 pm Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 East Broad St., where family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the service.
