Joan Elaine O'Brien

Joan Elaine O’Brien, age 82 of Blacklick, peacefully passed away on July 27, 2024. She was born May 04, 1942. A daughter to the late Bruce and Martha (McKelvey) Bussard. In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in passing by her son, Patrick O'Brien; brothers, Jack Bussard and Jim Bussard.

Joan was a graduate of Central High School in 1961. She was the oldest child of 6 and loved being the matriarch of her beloved siblings. She was a wonderful mother to her two children Patrick and Erinn. She was also a successful real estate agent and made many dear friends throughout her career. Joan met her loving partner Larry in 1989 and they have been together ever since. They both had a passion for golf and enjoyed spending time on the course with their friends. Her grandchildren were her most beloved treasures and she loved spending time with them. In addition to her dedication to her family, Joan enjoyed cooking and loved to make delicious meals and to entertain family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved telling jokes and making people laugh. She was cherished by her family and friends and leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

Joan is survived by her loving partner of 35 years, Larry Seymour; daughter, Erinn (Joe) Spahr; grandchildren, Kaylee, Ryan, Mark, Brad (Brianna), Brandon, Allison (Josh); brothers, Jerry (Donna) Bussard and Jon Bussard; sister, Joy (Roger) Ballinger; Along with many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A visitation for Joan will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230, followed by a funeral service from beginning at 4:00 PM. Entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. JOHNSTOWN RD. 43230
