Joanna Lynn Curran

Joanna Lynn Curran, age 82, of Westerville, Ohio was born to eternal life on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She was born on November 20, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Edward and Mary Jane (Hodgson) Dotter.

Joanna was a beloved mother of Christy (Greg) Christian, Frank (Christine), Mike (Amy); loving grandmother of Andrew, Abby (Dawson) Taylor, Patrick, Nathan, Dylan and Tyler and sister to Margaret “Peggy” Soden. She was preceded in death by loving husband Francis J. Curran Jr.; her parents, Edward and Mary Jane (Hodgson) Dotter; granddaughter, Catie Christian; siblings, Judy Schwerer, Connie Bradley and Ned Dotter.

Joanna’s greatest blessings were her 52 years of marriage and the family she and Frank built together, including their children and grandchildren. She was a devoted OSU fan and loved cheering on the Buckeyes at games, but most importantly, she cherished watching her grandchildren. She was a fierce competitor with any “fun” family games and loved playing Scrabble and Words with Friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, OH. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 313 N. State St., Westerville, OH. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery.
