

Judith Ann Steward Inglis, age 80, died Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at her Columbus residence after a valiant and lengthy fight against Parkinson’s Disease. Born May 7, 1943, to John and Anna Steward, she was an Upper Arlington native who graduated from Taft High School in Cincinnati in 1961, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford in 1965. The gifted artist began her career as a graphic designer at Ohio Bell and then the Yellow Pages, and eventually served hundreds of clients in her house portrait and notecard business. Married David McKee Inglis on August 31, 1974, and gave birth to sons Brian McKee on January 8, 1978, and William Madison on August 30, 1979. The longtime Bexley resident was active in many civic and charitable organizations, including the Broad Street Presbyterian Church, TWIG and the League Against Child Abuse. She was an adoring mother and an affectionate grandmother to Julia, Jack and Lauer Inglis.
Preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law Robert and Harriet Inglis, and sister-in-law Marilyn Inglis. Also survived by sister Janet (Peter) Jasanis, sisters-in-law Sharon (David) Bearse and Elizabeth Simmons; daughters-in-law Tiffany (Brian) and Emily (William) Inglis; nephews Patrick (Noucha) and James (Sandra) Jasanis and Matthew (Cathleen) Bearse; nieces Carolyn (Rich) deWalden, Kristy (Doug) Mello and Emily (Ameet) Salvi; beloved caretaker Tekea Goitom, and a multitude of close cousins and dear friends.
Arrangements to be handled by Schoedinger Margarum Northeast with calling hours from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, and a funeral service on Thursday, November 2 at 10 a.m. A lunch reception at Columbus Country Club will follow at noon.
