Lois J. Young

Lois Jean Young, age 86 of New Albany, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was born January 31, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter to the late Olin and Edna (Dollison) Young.

She graduated from Canal Winchester High School in 1954 and lived in Bexley until 2018, when she moved to Wesley Woods of New Albany.

Lois attended business school and worked for the Ohio State Highway Patrol where she did payroll until she retired.

Lois was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley and was an office volunteer for many years. She also was a member of “The Lois Club”. She enjoyed traveling and spent her retired years traveling the world with her late and beloved friend, Dr. Gail Burrier.

Lois is survived by her first cousins, Rodney Dollison, Sue Ellen Hays, Marilyn, Luther & Willis Young. She is also survived by many other cousins, including Diana Kutschbach, who lovingly cared for her for many years.

Friends may gather at Schoedinger Northeast, on Saturday, January 6, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM, funeral service to begin at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be in Lois’ memory to Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E Main St, Bexley, OH 43209.
