A lifelong resident of Gahanna, Nikki was a steady and loving presence in the lives of all who knew her. She was the rock for many—someone people turned to for strength, guidance, and unwavering support. Her kindness, resilience, and deep love for her family and friends defined her life.
Nikki is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gary Blackburn; her sons, Jeff Johnson (Sophia) and Rob Matney (Nancy); her daughter, Danna Blackburn; and her cherished grandchildren, Austin (Emily), Hannah (Ean), Brook (Brian), Allison, Evan, Marissa, and Joe. She is also survived by her siblings, Gregg Glenn (Kathy), Vikki Luft (Dan), and Kathy Brown (Jeff), along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary June Glenn, and her son, Richard Matney.
Nikki devoted her life to a career in healthcare, retiring from Mount Carmel Health as Manager of Regional Development, where she built many lasting friendships.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Riverside, St. Ann’s, and The Ohio State University Medical Center for their exceptional care and compassion.
In honoring Nikki’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held Saturday April 11, 2026, with a celebration of life for friends and family to be held following 12-4pm at Flanagans Pub, 3001 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, Blacklick, OH, 43004. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
Nikki was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of strength, compassion, and love will live on in all who knew her.
