Pamela June Bain, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Canton, Ohio, to the late Al and Patti (Shale) Sigler, Pamela touched the lives of everyone she met with her boundless love and warmth.
Pam was a mother in the truest sense of the word—not only to her own children but to everyone she called her children. She had an extraordinary ability to make people feel loved, valued, and cared for, and her family was the center of her world. She was admired for her fighting spirit and determination to become Momma 2.0, and she did it! She was known for her infectious spirit, loving heart, and nurturing nature, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Pam had many hobbies, including her love for television, particularly her favorite shows Dancing With the Stars and The Masked Singer. She was affectionately known as "Momma Meteorologist" for her unwavering devotion to the weather, always keeping an eye on the forecast and staying up-to-date on all things astronomical. Her family fondly remembers how she always made the holidays so special, her baking cookies every Christmas and making several dozen sausage balls that were always quickly devoured. She had an affinity for well done (aka burnt) food, funnel cakes and Mexican food. She loved flowers, especially pansies, and all things purple. And, most of all, she loved being a mom and a grandma.
Pam is survived by her son, Brian (Christene) Bain; daughter, Laura (Douglas) Velazco; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Emma Velazco; daughter, Sharon (Rafael) Valero; grandson, Daniel Valero. She adored her granddaughters, Elizabeth and Emma Velazco, and her grandson, Daniel Valero; sister, Janet Gyevat of Florida; niece, Kim Hagemann; great nephew, Alexander Palermo and great niece, Anna Palermo.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 East Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, Ohio 43230. The family invites all who attend to honor Pam’s memory by wearing anything purple, her favorite color.
