

Bob was born on February 5, 1951, in Troy, NY to the Late Robert L. Smith and Rosamond Sheehan Smith.
Bob was a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a kind soul. known for his quiet strength and warm heart.
He graduated from Syracuse University in New York with a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
He built a successful career as a Chemist, Sales, and Product Development, Manager working with various companies across Connecticut and Ohio. Bob was highly respected for his dedication, creativity, and professionalism.
Bob was known as "glue guy" he was an adhesives expert early in his career. Bob's life was rich with passion and purpose
He was a gifted drummer from the age of 16, performing with various bands and finding joy in music throughout his life.
He also earned his private pilot's license and spent many hours in the sky flying small aircraft, a pursuit he loved deeply and practiced with pride. In addition, Bob was an avid reader, always eager to explore new ideas and knowledge. He is survived by his wife, Anna Smith; his sons, Adam Robert Smith, Michael Vincent Smith, and Andrew William Smith; and his cherished granddaughter, Ellie Rose Smith.
He is also survived by his brother, William G. Smith, and sister-in-law, Cindi Smith; his sister, Pat Smith Kot, and brother-in-law, Vincent Kot; as well as his nieces and nephews: Jason William Smith, Sharese Hanson (Christopher Hanson), Alex Kot, (Michelle Kot) and Davia Kot; along with many other beloved family members
A private memorial will be held by the immediate family.
