Raised in Columbus, Ohio, Ron was a proud graduate of South High School. He went on to serve his country with honor and courage as a veteran of the Vietnam War, an experience that shaped his deep appreciation for life, friendship, and service to others.
Throughout his life, Ron was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to helping those around him. His life was guided by compassion, and he gave freely of his time, energy, and love to everyone he met.
Ron had a deep love for music, especially live performances, which brought him great joy throughout his life. During the holiday season, you could always find him volunteering with Charity Newsies, a cause close to his heart and one that reflected his lifelong dedication to giving back.
He was also an avid roller skater and, even into his 70s, could often be found gliding around the rink with a big smile on his face—proof that age never dulled his playful spirit or his love for fun.
Above all, Ron cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Davis; his children Ryan, Chelsea, and Carly; and his grandchildren Gavin and Anneliese.
Ron’s warmth, humor, and quiet strength touched the lives of many. He will be remembered not only for his generosity and kindness but also for the mentorship he offered to those in need of support. His legacy of love, laughter, and giving will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed by his presence.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Saturday, November 15th from 11am - 1pm at The Five14 Church (5744 N Hamilton Rd Columbus OH 43230). Memorial Service will begin at 11am and a light luncheon will follow. Family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, music, light lunch, and memories of the man who gave so much to so many.
