Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Raymond; his brother, David (Janet); and his beloved wife, Joyce. He is survived by his brother, Raymond (Kim); his daughters, Deborah (Tim) Prushing, Darla (Chris) Marinelli, and Devoni (Jerry Tackett) Orlandi; as well as five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored.
Bill was an avid car enthusiast who found great joy in restoring classic cars and attending car shows, where he built lifelong friendships with those who shared his passion. He took immense pride in his Cutlass and truck, both of which he meticulously restored. Over the years, he won numerous trophies for his work, but his greatest achievement was the widespread admiration and respect he earned from the classic car community for his exceptional body and paintwork.
Beyond his love for cars, Bill had a deep appreciation for gardening, tending to both flowers and vegetables with great care. He welcomed guests warmly and relished the opportunity to showcase his beautiful garden and hard work.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Bill instilled in his daughters a strong work ethic, something they take great pride in carrying forward. He was especially proud of working alongside his protégé, Wayne Foughty, and cherished the time spent with Tim Prushing, tackling various projects around the house.
Bill's career began at local filling stations before he advanced to bodywork at Don’s Garage and several other car shops in the Columbus area. His skill and dedication led him to establish his own successful business, Bill’s Garage, where he left a lasting legacy.
