

Albert "Johnny" Jonathan Aliff, age 56, of Gardendale, Alabama passed away on Friday February 15, 2019. "Johnny" was born January 25, 1963. Passed away on February 15, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Hospital while undergoing evaluation for a liver transplant.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 23, 1963 to Carol Sue (Aliff) Benson. He was a loving husband, step-father and friend to all he came into contact with. He attended Western International High School in Detroit, Michigan He was preceded in death by his mother Carol Sue Benson, his sister Carol Sue Teter and his brother Mickey Benson, Jr. Johnny is survived by his wife Kristina Aliff, step-sons Kristopher Shields and Karson Shields, step-father Mose Benson, many cousins, nephews and other relatives and friends. Johnny was well known for his expertise in the food and hospitality industry for over 30 years. He loved to cook for others and share his amazing creations and desserts with all his family and friends. During his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, making Halloween props and was an avid Batman Collector.
If you ever wanted a good scare during Halloween, all you had to do was walk through his yard Halloween night! His alter-ego was "Batman". He was truly an aficionado on everything Batman!
A celebration of life visitation for "Johnny" will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A celebration of life memorial service will occur Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071.
