

Bettye Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Everett B. Dollar, her son, Stephen Everett Dollar of Fultondale, her parents, Cecil H. and Blanche K. Cude, her brother James William Cude, Jr. all of Frankin, Tennessee, and her grandson, Stephen Everett Dollar, Jr. of Pell City, Alabama.
Bettye Jo is survived by her son Joe Mark Dollar (Lynne) of Cullman, AL, her daughters Julie Dollar Huff (Robb) of Fultondale and Beth Dollar Cardwell (Greg) of Smokerise, Alabama. She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and an additional great grandson scheduled to arrive on May 30, 2022 and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Special appreciation and much love to her caregivers, Maria Young and Davina Hughes. She loved you both very much.
Bettye Jo was truly the example of love. She had a great love for her husband, her children, grandchildren and all the children that she ministered to at Alliance Christian School where she worked there in the position of Bookkeeper, lunch room attendant, and bus driver. She was the National Secretary for the women’s organization of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET Auxillary) in Tarrant, Alabama. She was also the past state secretary for the Woodman of the World, Birmingham Chapter. She and Everett enjoyed their retirement years by traveling and spending time with their children. They were a wonderful example of what marriage is and should be. They were devoted to each other.
Visitation for family will be on Wednesday, March 30 from 9:00-10:00; visitation for family & friends will be from 10:00-11:30 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel (2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071) with the funeral service to follow. Interment will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens (2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071).
