Billy Joe Jacobs

Billy Joe "Travis" Jacobs, age 79 of Hayden, AL passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015. He retired from the paper business with 30 years of service and also, from Stephens Pipe where he worked for over 10 years. Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Arvil Jacobs, a brother, J.C. Jacobs and a sister, Alma Lee Reid. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 58 years, Josephine “Jo” Jacobs; his children, Regina Morgan (Bruce), Tim Jacobs (Stephanie), and Kevin Jacobs; grandchildren, William (Meg) Brunson, Josh Jacobs, Ariel Jacobs, Bella Jacobs, Drew Morgan, and Matthew Morgan; great grandchildren, Dolly Brunson and Emmy Morgan; a sister, Elizabeth Satterfield; his special adopted family, Scott, Kim, Julia, and Jake Hatfield; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15th, from 6 until 8 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with chapel services on Thursday beginning at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Baptist Cemetery in Hayden, AL. Rev. Scott Hatfield and Dr. Sammie Reid will officiate services.
