Carolyn Juanita Watson Jones was born in Jefferson County, AL, on December 18, 1937 and passed away peacefully in Gardendale, AL, on April 12, 2017 at the age of 79. Carolyn moved to Port St. Joe, FL in 1972 when she remained until recently moving back to Gardendale, AL, due to her health. Carolyn loved to shop at yard sales and for many years spent most of her weekends searching for hidden treasures.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband James E. Jones; her daughters, Cynthia Rickett (Clarence), Pamela Renaud (Richard), Peggy Burkett (Mike), and Nancy Wigsten (Donald); grandchildren, Carrie, Cassie, Carlie, Michael, Buck, Kelly, Preston and Julia; eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Beach Baptist Chapel at 2:00pm in Port St. Joe, FL, with a visitation to begin at 1:00pm, followed by her entombment in the Holly Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Port St. Joe, FL.
