Carolyn a resident of Mount Olive passed away at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her parents Arson and Mildred Strickland and a sister, Barbara Thacker. She is survived by her two sons, Ricky McCarty (Teresa) and Randy McCarty (Kita); a brother in law, Wayne Thacker; grandchildren, Terry Moore (Aaron) and Jared McCarty (Ashleigh Clark), great niece, Jackie Jeter (Andrew); great-great nephew and niece, Damon and Vera Nova; other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, Dec 5th at 1:00pm with a visitation to begin at 12 noon. Her burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
