He was 65 years old and lived in Fultondale, Alabama. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lois Davidson, sister Patricia Smith, brothers George, Donald "Donnie" and Ricky Davidson. He is survived by his sisters Ruby Hayes, Lois Allen and brother John Davidson. Other survivors include his sons Brandon, Randy and daughter Brittney Davidson Hayes (Brandon), granddaughters Hannah and Mckinlie and grandson Cole Miller along with a large extended group of family and friends. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to his best friend Ed Perkins. Ed made sure Charles' last wishes were met.
Charles was a welder, mechanic and driver with Davidson Trucking, Inc. for many years. He attended church at Farley Mission Church in Fultondale and also attended other churches with friends. Charles loved life, his family and loved to make people laugh.
He loved the outdoors and riding his Harley with friends. Charlie, as he liked to be called, was a free spirit, a rebel in his own right. Material things did not matter to him. Charles was a man who would lay down his life for a friend. Our brother will be greatly missed.
No greater love can be found than the love of God.
God sent his son who gave his life so that we may have eternal life.
A visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ridoutsgardendalechapel.com for the Davidson family.
