He is survived by his wife, Vera Surrett; son, Shannon McCurry; daughters, Lisa (Michael) Stobert and Valerie (Barry) Clay; brother, Don (Faye) Franklin; and sister, Sandra (Allen) Jerkins.
Pastor Allen Jerkins will be officiating.
He was a member of Independent Friendship Church and an Ordained Decon.
He loved his wife, family, and the Lord.
A visitation for Charles will be held Monday, November 18, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Cluster Springs Cemetery, Gardendale, Alabama 35897.
