Cora Lee Henderson Armstrong

Cora Lee Henderson Armstrong, a resident of Morris, Alabama was born in Marshall County, Alabama on August 29, 1931 and she passed away peacefully on June 16, 2018 at the age of 86. Cora lived the majority of her life in Morris, AL. She was a graduate of Corner High School and she was a member of Life of Faith Tabernacle in Hayden, Alabama. She loved people and dedicated her life to helping others. She cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be greatly missed.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Effie Mae Anderson; her husband, A.C. Henderson, and a daughter, Dixie Killingsworth.

Cora is survived by two daughters, Paula Peoples, Audrey McCombs and her husband Steve, son-in-law, Mack Killingsworth; one brother, Earl Anderson; 5 granddaughters, Charlotte Banks (Paul), Wanda White, Hope Cochran (Steve), Heather Self (Patrick), and Jenny Baker (Brandon); two grandsons, Christopher Crawford (JoAnne) and Heath Cox (Kelsey); nineteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a Celebration of life reception on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm; Celebration of life service on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11:00am followed by her burial in Castle Heights Cemetery, Morris, Alabama.
