Derek Eugene Vaughn, age 28 of Birmingham, AL, passed away on October 16th 2015. He was preceded in his death by his grandfather, Claudis Vaughn. He is survived by Rachael Moore; his mother, Teresa Vaughn (Thomas); two sisters, Kayla Thomas and Kellie Thomas; one son, Kason Vaughn; one nephew, Chase Smoake; his grandmother Dianne Vaughn; several aunts and uncles and cousins; many close and special friends that became family. A visitation with be held on Monday, October 19th, 2015 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel from 6 until 8 PM. Chapel services will be Tuesday beginning at 11 AM and followed with interment in Bethlehem Baptist Cementery on Highway 79 in Selfville, AL. Pallbearers will be Ian Eubanks, Dan Chatham, Sean Coleman, Ryan Mims, Ross Andrews, and Rahsaan Grant.
