
Don Edward Studyvin, age 69 of Morris, AL passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Vireece Studyvin and uncles, Owen Blanton and Arthur Studyvin. He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Judy Studyvin; a son, Kevin Studyvin; daughters, Corrie Studyvin and Lisa Studyvin Roper (Charles); grandchildren, Abbey Roper and Jonathan Roper; an uncle, M.L. “Barney” Blanton (Louise); aunts, Frankie Blanton and Betty Studyvin; and numerous cousins. Don was a graduate of Minor High School and worked in management for Winn-Dixie, Foodland, Food Giant, and Piggly Wiggly Grocers until his retirement. He was an active member at Gardendale Church of the Nazarene. Don was very involved with children’s ministries and taught children’s Sunday School at various churches. Most of all he loved serving his Lord and Savior and sharing him with his many friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 9th, from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with an evening chapel service beginning at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to Big Oak Ranch, World Vision International, or Bronner Burgess Memorial Fund.
