Edith, a resident of Warrior, AL, passed away at the age of 77. She owned and operated the Hair Benders Beauty Salon for many years. She was a member of the Warrior Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Clara Salyers; son, Kerry Burns; brother, J.D. Salyers and a sister, Ethylene Wells.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Henry Carl Burns; sons, Steve Norman (Diane), Jimmy Burns, Terry Burns; sisters, Geraldine Walker, Mildred Lang, Sue Huffman; grandchildren, Bo Hunter, Daniel Norman, Joseph Burns, Josh Burns, Jacob Burns, Jarrod Burns, Emily Burns, Elysia Burns, Hanna Burns; great grandchildren; Rian Jones, Weston Hunter, Eli Jones; Halli Norman; special friends, Barbara Freeman, Ron and Sandra Westerlund.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation on Monday, Nov 23rd, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm; funeral service, Tuesday, Nov 24th, at 2:00pm followed by her entombment in the Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum, Gardendale, AL.
