Ed retired from US Steel after 38 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed. He enjoyed photography, blue grass music, and trains. He was a member of the Heart of Dixie Railroad Club for many years.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Esther Keller; and sister, Doris Keller.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Shirley E. Keller; Children; Margaret McLellan (Brent), Cathy Echols (Phillip), Billie Roy (Danny), James Sutton (Karen), Thomas Sutton, Sharon Lashbrook (Mike), and Barbara Libric (Anthony); brother, Jack H. Keller, Sr. (Betty Jo); sister, Janice Mayberry; eight grandchildren, Ryan McLellan (Jamie), Brad McLellan (Heather), Melanie Green (James Teston), Mary Echols, Cynthia Roy, Amber Sutton, Ryan Sutton (Kattye), and Nate Biederman (Lori); ten great grandchildren, Reese, Macie, Ryder, Grant, Katie, Lavinia , Bianka, Aric, Aiden, and Mayan; and a host of friends and family.
Celebration of life services will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, February 21, 2019 with a time of visitation to begin at 1:00pm; service at 2:00pm followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama.
