Edward was born to Alsie and Opal Lindsey, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Donna Henley Lindsey; his great grandchild, Nickalus Lindsey; his daughter, Karen Calvert; and his brothers, Ray Lindsey, Dean Lindsey, James Lindsey, and Eldon Lindsey.
Edward is survived by his son, Kevin Lindsey (Kay); his grandchild, Josh Lindsey (Jen); his great grandchild, Avayah Lindsey; and his brother, Wade Lindsey (Charlotte).
A U.S. Army veteran, Edward was a dedicated member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for 55 years. He was also a devoted member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Edward was a passionate fan of University of Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball. He loved fishing and enjoyed parched peanuts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to the charity of your choice.
The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Michael Jones and Rev. George Weeks.
The family will receive friends Monday July 29th 10 o'clock till 11 o'clock in Magnolia Hall at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. Funeral service for Mr. Lindsey will follow. He will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
