Florence Anne Downs

Anne was a member of Walker Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed the "Young at Heart," senior group at the church and she enjoyed spending time at the Fultondale Senior Center with her friends. She loved cooking Sunday dinners for her family and the joy the family had during these meals. She loved her flowers and above all - her family.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Olive Dutton; her loving husband, Elisha Gilbert Downs; one son, Ronald Eugene Downs; five brothers, Cecil Houston Dutton, Carl D. Dutton, Douglas Dutton, Julius Dutton and George Dutton.

Anne is survived by one son, Larry Gilbert Downs (Dede); three daughters, Barbara Ann Almond (Paul), Linda Gail Fincher (Mark), and Deborah Sue Goodson (John); one brother, Clyde William Dutton (Linda), eleven grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; many other family members and friends.

Celebration of Life Services for Anne will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071 with a time of visitation to begin at 10:00 AM; funeral service at 12:00 PM followed by his burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
