Franklin “Frankie” Bailey, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully Thursday, April 25, 2019. Services will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. Celebration of Life Visitation will be on Saturday April 27th 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 28th at 2:00 pm with visitation starting at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at the Oakwood Memorial Gardens with US Army Military Honors.
Frankie is survived by his wife, Peggy of 42 years; their daughter, Leslie Bard; daughters, Wendi Bailey Glasgow, Janet Cook; two sisters, Margaret Ann McGaughy and Vonda Bailey; brother, Bill Harris; grandson, Blain Bard; two granddaughters, Jenna and Jordan; one great grandson, Mason, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie May Harris and older sister, Sarah Marie Fulmer.
Frankie was a hard worker and a proud veteran serving his country in the United States Army. He loved spending time with family and friends. “His Big Heart” was always helping those around him. He will be remembered and missed by many.
