Gary Allen Carreker

Gary Allen Carreker went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2018 at age 54. He is survived by his wife, Kim Carreker; three children, Aleisha Carreker, Gary Allen Carreker, Jr., and Ashley Carreker; grandchildren, Isabella and Kennedy Carreker; father, Tillman Carreker Jr.; one sister, Lisa Watson; one brother, Keith Carreker; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gary is preceded in death by mother, Beverly Carreker; one grandson, Colin Carreker; and one brother, Gregory Carreker. Gary had earned his Juris Doctorate from Birmingham School of Law and was expected to participate in the graduation ceremony in two weeks. He graduated from Wallace State with an associate’s degree and from Athens State with a bachelor’s degree in business both with honors. Gary would put a smile on your face and was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed greatly everyday by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be Thursday, May 3 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, May 4 at 2:00 PM, burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
