Gloria Ann Watson, 64, of Mt. Olive, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026. Born on June 12, 1961, in South Carolina, Gloria eventually made her home in Mt. Olive, where she created a life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Gloria was a woman of vibrant spirit who found joy in the world around her. She had a lifelong love for dolphins and the water, and she was an avid fan of bowling and fishing. Those who knew her well knew she was a champion shopper and the "queen" of Christmas—a season she cherished and made magical for everyone around her. Above all, Gloria was defined by her devotion to her family and her many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert R. and Barbara E. Clark; her beloved son, Anthony Watson Jr.; and her parents-in-law, Raiford L. and Gwendolyn F. Roberts.
Gloria’s legacy of love continues through her husband, Michael Watson Sr.; her daughter, Brandy Zamora (Watson) and son-in-law Drew Levan; and her adopted daughter, Amber Allen. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Dale Roberson of Cross, SC; her brother, Ernie Clark of Moncks Corner, SC; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Tracy Watson of Alexander City, AL. Her memory will be kept alive by her many nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a wide circle of friends who were like family.
