Helen was a longtime member of Parkview First Church of God, where she was the president of the Women’s Missionary Society. She was a graduate of Millport High School in Lamar County and she retired from BMC Princeton.
Helen was loved by everyone and known as “Granny” by most. She was a loving caregiver to others and a wonderful cook. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and she loved her nephews as if they were her own.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Bessie Crow and the love of her life, Luther Kelley; three sons, Larry Dean Kelley, Terry “Turtle” Kelley, and Steve Kelley; brothers, Wayne Crow and Doug Crowe; and a sister, Edith Huguley.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Gina Murdock (Jerry of Clay, AL; three sons, Keith Wilson (Donna) of Empire, AL, Phillip Wilson (Susie) of Mulga, AL, and Harry Kelley (Shirley) of Fultondale, AL; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Services for Helen will be at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, with a time of visitation to begin at 12:00 noon followed by her funeral service at 1:00 pm officiated by Rev. Michael Crow and Rev, Randy Jasper. Her burial will be private.
