Hubert "Eddie" Edmund Oswalt Jr., a brave, beloved, devoted, selfless, wise, and hard-working individual, passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 78. Hubert was a resident of Gardendale, Alabama.
Eddie proudly served in the Navy and later dedicated his career to UPS. His commitment to his work and his country was a testament to his character and values.
A devoted family man, Eddie cherished his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His love for them was evident in every aspect of his life.
In his personal time, Eddie enjoyed Alabama Football, celebrating Christmas, and working in his yard. These hobbies brought him joy and relaxation, and he shared these passions with those he loved.
A visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, located at 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama, on December 28, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life Graveside Service will take place at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama, at 2:00 pm.
