He is survived by his wife Marilou; children, Luann (Robin) Scott, Terri (Ronald) Granberry; Burke (Julie) Ragsdale, Greg Ragsdale; grandchildren, Matt (Stevie) Scott, Kim (Ryan) Aaron, Ben (Jess) Ragsdale, Cain (Casi) Prince, Blake Ragsdale, Rachel (Jimmy) Aaron, Natalie Ragsdale, Britney (Chris) Beasley, Alex (Chelsea) Ragsdale, Isabella Ragsdale, and 16 great grandchildren.
He shared and taught the love of hunting, fishing, gardening, and outdoors with all of his family and friends. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
A visitation for Hugh will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
