James Larry Brown, age 67 of Trussville passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012. He was a member of the Healing Place Church in Trussville. Larry retired from American Cast Iron Pipe Company after 44 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Bonnie Brown; daughters: Lori (Steve) Booth and Holli (Matt) Hicks; sons: Tony Brown and Jacob (Jamie) Brown; mother, Lalia Brown; grandchildren: Jeremy Booth, Ethan Booth, Taylor Brown, Gabby Hicks, Shelby Hicks, Kylie Hicks and Taven Brown; sisters: Sharon (Steve) Carpenter and Miriam (Steve) Brake; and a host of other family and friends. Larry was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be truly missed. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family asks that everyone dress casual for the visitation and service.
