James Edward Costner, a resident of Gardendale, AL, was born the late Claude Costner and Essie Faye Wright Costner in Maben, AL on January 17th, 1931 and went home to be with the Lord on August 12th, 2015 at the age of 84. James was a charter member of the Fellowship Church and he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
James is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Wilma Costner; two children, Jeremy Costner and Angela Costner; three grandchildren, Lonnie and Ronnie Painter and Joey Costner.
His services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation on Friday, August 14th, 2015 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm; a funeral service on Saturday, August 15th, 2015 at 11:00am followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
