James Morris Cousins, Jr. of Locust Fork, AL passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the age of 84. He was a retired Law Enforcement Officer with over 40 plus years with Jefferson County and the State of Alabama, Livestock and Brands Division of the Agriculture Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Lillian Rosalie Cousins. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara “Sugar” Ledbetter Cousins; his two sons, James Morris Cousins III and his wife Amanda, and Mark Cousins and his wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Collin James, Rebecca Rose, Eric (Kris) Hogland, and Derick (Stephanie) Hogland; a special nephew, Evan Sanderson; great grandchildren, Maddie, Addison, and Garrett and Gage Hogland.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 24th, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 PM with chapel funeral services on Saturday beginning at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Marvins Chapel Cemetery in Pinson, AL. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Gideons International or email www.gideons.org
