

James Farrell Lee, a resident of Cullman, AL, was born on January 14, 1928 and passed away peacefully on April 21, 2017 at the age of 89. James served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. James had a long career as a machinist for several companies. James was a good Christian man and he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was affectionately called “Grandpa” by his grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Lee and Jewel McElroy Lee; a brother, Winford Lee, and a sister, Barbara Jo Drummond.
James is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Shelby Jean Lee; two sons, Jeff Lee (Brenda) and John Lee; brother, Kenneth Lee, grandchildren, Nicole Logan (Daniel), Brandon Lee (Morgan), and Kelly Anne Lee; great grandchildren, Gabbie Logan and Easton Logan; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday, April 24, 2017 with a visitation to begin at 10:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideon’s International.
