Jeanne H. Scott

March 18, 1925 – October 31, 2014

Jeanne went home to her Heavenly Father at the age of 89. She is survived by daughter Jonna Calhoun and son in law Allen Calhoun of Dawsonville, Ga., daughter Deborah Smith and son in law LLwyn Smith of Fayetteville GA, daughter Beth Wilson and son in law Rick Wilson of Tulsa Oklahoma, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and sister Margarite Chappell of Birmingham Ala. She is preceded in death by her husband John Warren Scott and granddaughter Allison Smith.

Jeanne was born on March 18, 1925 to Lawrence and Gladys Handley in Birmingham Alabama. She was married to John for almost 50 years cut short by his death in 1989. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her family and friends remember her as a fun loving, caring person with a quick wit who was always "Sweet as ever." Jeanne loved to travel and was always up for a shopping trip.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday November 8th, 2014. The family will receive guest at 1:00 pm with the service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
