Louie Davis

Louie H. Davis, age 77 of Morris, AL passed away on Sunday, January 17th, 2016. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Louie served his country proudly and was a veteran of the US Coast Guard. He was retired from the Birmingham Fire Department with 20 years of dedicated service to Station #20. Louie worked 16 years with Baptist Montclair Hospital. He prided himself in involvement with countless charitable organizations. He found his greatest joy in the many accomplishments of his children and grandchildren as well as the faithful commitment of his loving wife. He was a member of the Enon Baptist Church in Morris for many years. Louie’s life was full.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn Davis; a son, Raymond Davis; his daughters, Debra Davis Smith and Linda Davis; a brother, John L. Davis; his grandchildren, Mason Davis, Megan Smith, Austin Davis, Garrett Davis, and Evan Smith. He is also survived by many other friends and extended family members that he cherished.

Services will be held Thursday, January 21st at 12 noon at Enon Baptist Church with US Coast Guard Military Honors. Visitation will begin at 10 AM and interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
