Margaret T. Michael, age 94, of Hoover, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 14, 2022. She was loved greatly and will be missed. Margaret's family was her pride and joy and she enjoyed spending time with them. The grandchildren always got a charge out of hiding random plastic bugs, snake, etc. under her pillow, waiting trepidly for her scream. Margaret was from a strong hard working family from Selmer, TN. After her husband, Manuel, served a stint in the Navy in WWII and Korea, they loaded their three children and a few belongings and headed to Birmingham for jobs. Margaret was one of Mr. Joe Bruno's first check-out clerks. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Manuel, parents, Dazie and Abbie Lee Taylor, two brothers, four sisters and her two precious sons, Jeff and Mike. Margaret is survived by sons, Tom and Ron, two daughters, Jan (Mike) and Linda Kay (the late Dr. Leon Renaud). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Scott, Chris, Laura, Jason, Holly, Carrie, Tim, John, Kimberly, Taylor and Joseph and by five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Margaret will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
