Mary Ellis Doss

Born July 27, 1966 and passed Sunday, February 5, 2017

Mary was preceded in death by her Mother, Melba L Durden and her Father, Delbert C Durden. She is survived by her two girls, Crystal Ellis and Heather Clark (Michael). She had three precious grandsons, Nathan England, Christopher Davis, and Cooper Clark. She is also survived by her brother, Del Durden, and her sisters Evonne Hyde and Linda Byrd; several nieces and many friends.

Mary has managed multiple delis and bakeries for many years. She had a special gift for baking and decorating cakes. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for her girls as they grew up over the years, including her daughter‘s wedding cake and her grandson’s birthdays cakes. Mary loved to cook and bake whenever she could. When Mary's girls were growing up she would always plan a family trip to the beach. They were always having fun in the sun making countless memories that will last a lifetime. They would spend hours on the beach collecting sea shells and snorkeling with each other.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 10th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 2 until 3 PM and followed with a 3 PM graveside service in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. We will cherish all the GREAT memories we have made over our lifetime. We love you Momma/Nanny. Miss you forever. Love, “Your Girls”
