Mary Frances Anthony Duke, age 72 of Mt. Olive passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Frances was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gillard and her father, Merle Anthony; brothers, Gary Anthony and Billy Anthony. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Duke; a son, Michael Duke, Sr. (Angel); her daughter, Mary Ellen Duke (Paul); grandchildren, Timothy Cheatwood (Charlotte), Ashley Harris (Nathan), Michael Duke, Jr. (Tracy), Brooke Duke, Tyler Patterson, Hunter Ballard, and Blake Ballard (Chanita); several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Chapel services will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
